Laborer I (Ecological Construction)

Overview

RES is looking for an Laborer I, based out of our Warrenton, VA office. This position may require some travel across Virginia.   

 

The mission: The Laborer I will provide on the ground support to Machine Operators, allowing Operators to maximize their productivity on linear footage.

What your day-to-day might look like?

In the field, you will be responsible as the ground support for the crew.

 

Specific duties consist of but are not limited to the following:

  • Seeding, mulching, and installing erosion control matting
  • Work with construction crews on manual labor activities to support overall project
  • Managing pumping and dewatering operations

 

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of your duties. 

Qualifications

We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:

  • Highschool degree
  • Previous experience in outdoor construction
  • Laborer experience within construction

 

 

What will make you stand out?

  • Two years of field experience in ecological restoration, land development, stormwater management, or utilities
  • Experience using survey equipment, GPS, Trimble, or Topcon
  • Experience in the ability to reading and understanding blueprints
  • Experience as a Laborer on Stream Restoration and/or Wetland construction projects 
  • Experience in managing pumping and dewatering operations
