Health Program Coordinator I (JR-0000737)

Responsibilities

The Health Program Coordinator I will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring health care center contracts for persons at-risk for or living with HIV that provide services based in healthcare centersacross New York State. The incumbent will serve as a liaisonto contractors; maintaincommunication with contractors regarding programrequirements; assess provider performance, monitor program outcomes and quality improvement activities; negotiate contract budgets and workplans while coordinating technical assistance to ensures compliance with program standards and goals. The incumbent will also coordinate and conduct site visits; review monthly/quarterly narrative reports and monthly data reports; review and approve budget modifications and vouchers; prepares monitoring, narrative, and statistical reports; coordinates Bureau of HIV Ambulatory Care Services community program planning and development. Complete writing assignments and other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degreein a related field and three years of experience in program coordination in apublic health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate's degreein a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have includedsupervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one-year contract management experience. Knowledge of issues related to the provision of services to persons with and/or at risk for HIV/AIDS. Experience working with HIV/AIDScommunity-based organizations/health serviceproviders, monitoring, and evaluating programactivities, and conducting quality improvement activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

 

Conditions ofEmployment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, up to25% of the time, will be required.

 

This positionrequires that the incumbent will report to the officialwork location and live withincommuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
