AmeriCorps Volunteer & Client Preparedness Coordinator - Arcadia DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity

Help Florida recover from Hurricane Ian by serving an AmeriCorps term with Arcadia-DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity!

SBP, a social impact organization focused on disaster resilience and recovery, is hiring an AmeriCorps Project Lead to serve with Arcadia-DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity!

DeSoto Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. They became an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International in 2000 and strengthens our community with two main programs: the Homebuyer Program and the Critical Home Repair Program. They are committed to helping families build safe and affordable homes and to making repairs to existing homes in our community. Completing much-needed repairs to existing homes strengthens communities by providing housing security for our residents and allowing our homeowners to stay in their homes while safely aging in place. The AmeriCorps member will supplement existing DeSoto Habitat staff in the Disaster Recovery Home Repair Program, providing necessary support to increase the program’s impact.
