Dietary Nurse Consultant

As the Dietary Nurse Consultant, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing instructional training programs for DQA staff in program areas as assigned. The position is the lead for the Division on policies and procedures related to dietary services, food safety, and medical and clinical conditions affected by nutrition and diet. You will also:

  • provide consultation and training for DQA staff for all provider types regulated by DQA. 
  • review, analyze, and evaluate the impact of state and federal rules, laws, and clinical standards of practice on Division activities and participate in special assignments, upon request.
  • provide consultation and training to health care providers, advocates and other groups regarding dietary services, nutritional care and food safety and other areas as assigned. 
  • work collaboratively with the Department’s Office of Legal Counsel staff, Division Administrators, Bureau Directors, Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), industry representatives and other major stakeholders related to health care and quality of care and quality of life for Wisconsin consumers.
