#4417 - Kindergarten Teacher

New Professional Orientation
August 8th - August 14th  


A teaching position in Kindergarten at Silver Spring and Hampden Elementary is currently available.  An active K-6 or PK-4 Elementary Pennsylvania Teaching Certification is required for this position.  Candidates who possess multiple certifications are preferred.  Prior experience as an elementary school teacher and special education certification is also preferred.  Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the physical and psychological aspects of elementary aged children and good communication skills. Must understand and be able to teach the approved curriculum.  The professional candidate(s) selected for this assignment understands and agrees that they may be required to teach in a blended or online format as requested by administration.

In addition to being qualified and knowledgeable in the specific area of certification required, we are seeking individuals trained in: 

  • The Danielson Framework for Teaching
  • Differentiated Instruction: Guided Reading & Guided Math
  • Mastery Learning
  • Student-Level Data Analysis and Interpretation
  • Classroom Technology Integration
  • Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading
  • Inquiry Based Learning
  • Special Education
  • Being a Team Player, Problem Solver, and Life-Long Learner


If hired for employment, the applicant must be able to submit the following:

  1. Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
  2. PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
  3. FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
  4. TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
  5. Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)
