Director of Development

Hello! Jubilee is looking for a dynamic and creative Director of Development to propel our content to the next level! We’re looking for a natural storyteller who is excited to own the ideation process, leading and challenging our team to come up with new and bold content for our YouTube channel. The ideal candidate has a strong POV and pulse on today’s culture and generation and is excited to push forth the Jubilee mission through meaningful conversation-based content.

The Job

The Development Lead will lead the charge for Jubilee content ideation! You’ll oversee the development process, inspiring our creatives to push the boundaries of meaningful conversation in a way that’s never been done before. In this role, you’ll shape and optimize the way we tackle ideation, collaborate with bright and talented creatives, and work to develop impactful and digitally savvy content for our audience of 8.5+ million!

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee and manage the development cycle of new show formats centered around debate and discussions
  • Work with Directors to ideate on existing and new Jubilee formats
  • Provide thoughtful, productive, and actionable feedback to our internal team at each stage of development and production
  • Partner with our Brand Partnership team to develop and pitch custom branded content
  • Collaborate with our Creative Leadership team to streamline and optimize the ideation to production process
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase our creative output
  • Plan and lead company-wide brainstorm sessions
  • Identify and flesh out the development of creative leads generated by internal collaboration
  • Proactively research current events and trends with the goal of pitching new, dynamic show and episode ideas

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of creative development experience (YouTube experience is a plus!)
  • Experience ideating fresh original content: new series, shows, and concepts in the digital space
  • Confident in managing a team of creatives and leading creative ideation
  • Creative with a background and understanding of production
  • Powerful storyteller with a strong pulse on today’s culture and the digital media landscape
  • Have a deep understanding of Jubilee’s brand and mission and has the ability to creatively integrate that into long form content
  • High-level communicator and collaborator
