Associate Lab Technician

WuXi AppTec is a leading global pharmaceutical and medical device open-access capability and technology platform company with global operations. We have an opening in our Bacterial Endotoxin Department for an Associate Lab Technician.  

  • 100% Onsite at our Marietta, GA location
  • Anticipated Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 AM to 6 PM
  • Starting Pay: $18/hr

Responsibilities

  • Gel Clot & Kinetic Chromogenic LAL testing – Levels 1 and 2 Job Functions
  • Performs worksheet review and data verification
  • Performs sample receipt tasks
  • Prepare samples and supplies for client testing.
  • Performs QA / QC Checklist tasks
  • Maintains equipment and supplies barcodes
  • Works on routine assignments per written procedures, where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
  • Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments
  • Works under close supervision from a supervisor or senior personnel
  • Contributes to the overall operations and the achievement of departmental goals
  • Perform job-specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi AppTec Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • May be required to work holidays and weekends
  • May be required to work overtime
  • Other duties as assigned
  • May be required to assist in other departments

Qualifications:

Experience / Education   

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required
  • Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
  • Must to be able to read, write, and understand English

Physical Requirements:

  • Clarity of Vision – the ability to distinguish colors
  • Must be able to work in a lab setting with exposure to biohazards/chemicals
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
  • Must be able to work in an environment with variable noise levels
  • Stand for long periods
  • Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift/push/pull/move 10 lbs. routinely
  • Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and reach
  • Must be able to perform activities with repetitive motions
