Life Sciences Summer Intern
Good Growth Capital is a majority women-owned venture capital firm that invests in early stage life science, green tech, hard science, and data science companies. Good Growth is known for its world-leading expertise in technology commercialization, and for finding, funding and growing superior, defensible technology companies that fill pressing societal needs.
We are looking to hire a life sciences intern for Summer 2024. Please only apply to this role if you are interested in working on life sciences investments: therapeutics, medical devices, and diagnostics. Interns should be interested in both the business of venture capital (assessing business models, competitive landscapes, learning deal structures, etc) and have a science background (e.g., majors in biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, pre-med, neuroscience)
Intern Responsibilities:
- Due Diligence on potential investments (e.g., secondary research on competitors, market sizing, physician research)
- Participate in calls with life sciences startups that GGC is considering for an investment
- Assist life sciences investment team on thesis development
- Attend pitch events to gather intel and do initial assessment on new startups / potential investments and potential competitors
