Global Business Services Intern (Summer 2024)

 

Overview

 

We’re searching for engaged, and highly motivated interns to join CROSSMARK! The Global Business Services (GBS) team is looking to welcome an intern to join us in the summer of 2024. In this role, you will work alongside teammates from multiple aspects of the business and gain knowledge in the areas of trade management, deduction management, order processing, and retail business acumen on how to drive results in the consumer-packaged goods industry. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Weekly review and management of trade payment policies for assigned divisions and clients; working closely with cross functional teams to research, validate, dispute and resolve trade and non-trade deductions in ARCollect
  • Publish deduction scorecards for each client within an assigned region on a biweekly basis (2x month), and respond to questions on the scorecards, as needed
  • Hold meetings with the Sales Director to review ARCollect scorecards on a bi-weekly basis (2x month), and drive compliance to set processes
  • Collaborate with the GBS team to work with Trade Managers, Trade Specialists, and Customer Specialists in resolution of client and customer needs
  • Become familiar with the CROSSVIEW Planner workflow tool and the process for managing client sponsored promotions
  • Liaison with the GBS Analyst, GBS Team Lead, and Trade Manager responsible for fielding process-related questions
  • Partner with GBS Analyst to assist with tasks so they are completed timely and accurately
  • Learn about common questions and concerns the GBS Analyst team has and be their point of contact to gather these inquiries and partner with GBS leadership on resolutions.
  • Become knowledgeable in root cause analysis and action plans developed by the GBS team to address issues
  • Work with Deduction Manager to determine how to best manage nonstandard processes
  • Support and escalate client/customer issues, as needed
  • Provide support administrative tasks, as needed
  • Create and implement glide paths that measure and track progress towards client deduction resolution, as needed

  • MAC OS, PC, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and research skills
  • Detail-oriented and team player

 

Education: Eligible candidates will be juniors in college entering their senior year with a focus spanning across finance, operations, and supply chain management preferred. Global Business Services manages the receiving and processing of customer orders, order fulfillment, delivery, invoicing, collection of customer payments, and cash application.

 

Experience:  No prior professional experience required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Working Conditions:  Office Environment.
