PMA Services Manager

Position Overview

As the PMA Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team of PMA Services Associates. Your primary responsibility will be to support the ongoing relationship between Russell Investments, various financial sponsor firms, and our partnering platform. Specifically, you’ll be involved in onboarding accounts for our Personalized Managed Accounts (PMA) program.

 

Location:  Milwaukee, WI

 

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000

 

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package. Key Responsibilities

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Ongoing Review of Account Onboarding: Continuously assess and enhance the account onboarding process to improve efficiency, expedite procedures, and explore automation opportunities.
  • Recruitment and Training: Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of our PMA Services Associates. Foster their professional development and enhance their skills.
  • Mentoring and Coaching: Provide guidance and mentorship to associates, ensuring their performance aligns with our standards of excellence.
  • Team Culture: Cultivate a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Individual Contributor Responsibilities

  • Effective Communication: Facilitate communication between Russell Investments, our platform provider, and various sponsors. Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Client Onboarding Support: Collaborate with Russell Investments’ sales team and advisors to ensure smooth client onboarding. Specific tasks include:
    • Reviewing client documentation for completeness.
    • Troubleshooting discrepancies in documentation and data.
    • Regularly monitoring the PMA Services inbox.
    • Creating and updating onboarding and maintenance forms.
    • Proactively communicating with financial advisors via phone and email to assist with onboarding and account maintenance.
    • Tracking opened and pending accounts.
    • Managing documents related to onboarded client accounts.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between the portfolio trading team and our sales team and/or clients.

 

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred.
  • People Management Experience: Previous experience in managing teams is essential.
  • Licenses: Preferred licenses include Series 7, 24, and 66.
  • Separately Managed Account Knowledge: Familiarity with separately managed accounts is a plus.
  • Financial Industry Experience: Previous exposure to the financial industry is highly valued.
  • Operational Capacity: Experience with account openings, transactions, and related operational tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Strong skills in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial.
  • Effective Problem Solving: Ability to analyze problems effectively, make informed decisions, and consider downstream effects and future implications.
  • Clear Communication and Relationship Building: Strong communication skills to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Ensuring the client’s perspective drives decision-making.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work well with colleagues at all levels and adapt to changing requirements.
