Health Research, Inc. Job Description:

Responsibilities

The Health Program Administrator I will coordinate, monitor, and track programmatic work and oversee staff who directly manage community-based contracts. The incumbent will provide guidance to staff as they work with awardees to develop contracts (e.g., workplans, budgets, budget modifications, etc.), and ensure awardee compliance with federal reporting requirements. The incumbent will recommend strategies for completing deliverables or activities to ensure award is appropriately spent, supervise staff, and complete other appropriate and related duties, as assigned.  

The Bureau of Health Equity and Community Engagement was designed to address the long-standing inequities that have systematically undermined the physical, social, economic, and emotional health of racial and ethnic minority populations and other population groups that are bearing a disproportionate burden of COVID-19.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in the administration of personnel, fiscal, or other related operational activity; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of general experience.


Preferred Qualifications

At least three years of experience supervising staff or leading teams. At least three years of experience managing or overseeing community-based contracts. Experience tracking deliverables and/or expenditures. Experience developing/writing reports. Experience monitoring contract performance and implementing progress plans. Demonstrated, strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience using Excel.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required.


This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
