Laboratory Intern

AOA Dx, based in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a dedicated summer Laboratory Intern to support administrative laboratory tasks crucial for establishing our sample management system, ensuring adherence to project timelines.

Internship Duration

Immediate start through the end of August (10-12 weeks preferred).

Location

On-Site Denver, CO

Hours

· Monday through Thursday 9AM-5PM.

· 32-hours per week.

· Minimum 10-weeks with the potential to extend internship based on performance.

Supervision and Support

Directly report to Development Project Manager, Mattie Goldberg.

Job Description

· Collaborate with the Project Manager to organize sample management data in an electronic lab notebook for pipeline development.

· Partner with the Project Manager and Lab Manager to develop a workflow for laboratory chemical derivatives in the electronic lab notebook.

· Create comprehensive workflow instructions for electronic sample and derivative management.

· Work alongside the Project Manager and Lab Manager to establish an efficient electronic storage location workflow.

· Assist research associates in organizing materials and samples for upcoming experiments.

· Support scientists in organizing samples for clinical cohort testing.

 

Responsibilities

· Manage sample inventory meticulously in the electronic lab notebook.

· Ensure seamless synchronization between physical and electronic storage systems.

· Aid the project manager in the development of efficient electronic lab notebook workflows.

 

Qualifications

· Preferably enrolled in a life sciences program.

· Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word.

· Technologically adept with a capacity to quickly learn new systems.

· Demonstrated ability to maintain focus and efficiency during extended periods of tedious tasks.

· Strong organizational and note-taking skills, with an aptitude for retaining instructions.

 

Training and Development Opportunities

· Gain exposure to industry-standard tools such as electronic laboratory notebooks and inventory management systems.

· Participate in the preparation of clinical cohorts, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

· Develop an understanding of product development pathways and regulatory requirements.

· Learn about clinical trial requirements for diagnostic assays.
