U.S. Analyst - Financing and Client Services

Department: Financing and Client Services

Reporting To:  Manager of the Financing and Client Services responsible for Corporate & Leveraged Finance business line

The U.S. Analyst position will be available for a maximum of 2 years.  The goal of the U.S. Analyst program is to develop the ideal candidate into a full-time position at the end of the two years. 

 

 

Job Description

To perform administrative tasks associated with middle office functions, provided by the Financing and Client Services (FCS) team, for various business lines which include: Corporate & Leveraged Finance (CLF), Structured Finance Solutions (SFS), Strategic Equity Transactions (SET), Media & Telecommunication and Financial Institutions (FI). FCS is divided into three sub-teams – Energy &Real Assets “ERA” (Project Finance, Transportation and Real Estate lending), International Trade & Transaction Banking “ITB” (Cash Management, Supply Chain, Export Finance, Trade Finance, and Global Commodity Finance) and Corporate & Leveraged Finance (responsible for the origination,, structuring and arranging of syndicated loans and bilateral facilities (for Corporate and Financial Institution clients) and for the underwriting and distribution of primary and secondary market syndicated loans across all business lines).

The person will be attached to the CLF team for the booking of transactions and to assist both teams for transversal projects.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Book new loans (syndicated and bilateral) or modify the existing ones in the front office/middle office Systems. 
  • Carefully analyze and review credit agreements / amendments / assignments in order to book deal(s) in the systems
  • Set-up covenants and collateral  
  • Electronic filing of the legal documents via Legos (module to track legal documentation)
  • Prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPI) monthly report for ITB & CLF activities.
  • Review and extract information from credit agreements and manually capture required data into the systems. 
  • Maintain the covenant tracking process, as follows:
  • Input reporting data into Cosmos (covenant monitoring tracking tool)
  • Prepare periodic Cosmos reports for upcoming and over-due covenants
  • Follow-up with front office for over-due covenants
  • Monitor middle office/back office system exceptions and initiate appropriate corrective measures.
  • Work on other team wide projects and initiatives as required.

 

 

Experience

  • Up to 1 year or more of general experience in Banking or financial services.
  • Candidate will be eligible to work in the US
  • Candidate not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future to work in the United States

 

Education

  • Undergraduate or Graduate level or equivalent.

 

Other Skills

  • Strong verbal and writing skills for effective and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders.
