Adult Education CTE: Driver Rehabilitation Specialist
POSITION: Adult Education CTE: Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (PT – Day/Evening)
SITE/BUILDING: Milliken Technical Center, Oakdale, NY
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years of experience providing driver rehabilitation service to individuals with disabilities
- NYS driver license with acceptable record and permanent MV-283 certificate required
- Experience as a NYS Certified Driver Education Teacher or NYS DMV approved Driver Education Teacher
- Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide driving instruction to participants on how to operate a vehicle safely, including the utilization of adaptive equipment and addressing disability related limitations
- Communicate with ACCES-VR and community-based organizations to support the needs of clients
- Schedule evaluation and training appointments
- Maintain client and vehicle usage logs
- Maintain confidential student files, complete with written reports and required documentation
- Schedule and transport vehicles for needed maintenance and repairs
START DATE: January 6, 2025
SALARY: $55.00/hour
