Leadership Staff Roles:
Take on a leadership role at Concordia Language Villages this summer! Work closely with the Village dean to create immersive cultural programs, guide educational curriculum, and mentor staff and participants. Leadership positions include Team Lead, Credit Curriculum Facilitator, Two-Week Facilitator, Adventure Day Camp Coordinator, and Assistant Dean. As part of the leadership team, you’ll lead activities in the target language, support staff development, and help craft an unforgettable camp experience.
You Will:
- Speak the target language with villagers and staff whenever possible.
- Collaborate with the dean to plan and prepare pre-summer programming.
- Organize and manage proficiency-based villager placement.
- Supervise and coach staff while assisting with training and mentoring.
- Participate fully in Village life, including meals, songs, cultural events, and evening programs.
- Serve as a positive role model, encouraging target language use and desired behaviors.
Ideal Candidate Skills:
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Enjoys working with and managing children.
- Adaptable to dynamic and changing situations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent), effective communication skills in English and the target language, and previous Concordia Language Villages experience (staff or participant).
- Preferred: Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record (all positions) and teaching licensure (Credit Facilitator).
