Student Account Generalist II
Job Summary:
Provides the highest level of customer service to prospective and current students, parents, and faculty/staff in the areas of, but not limited to: Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, and One Stop Enrollment Services.
Serves as a representative of Student Financial Services concerning issues relating to student accounts that require interpretation of policies, procedures and programs.
- Assists and supports Student Financials operations within the Office of the Controller.
- Provides excellent customer service and support via call center, email, written correspondence or in-person to resolve problems and address issues from students, parents, faculty, staff and academic departments.
- Works with student advisors, colleges, or other University departments to clarify situations, as necessary.
- Provides support and up-to-date information to prospective and current students in the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, OneStop and Graduation, as assigned.
- Updates student account information in PeopleSoft or other ERP software programs, ensuring the integrity of the data.
- May perform analysis on student account data to determine trends in an effort to decrease outstanding Accounts Receivable (A/R) and collection account placement.
- Assist with managing the process to bill, collect and apply payments related to Florida Prepaid contracts and all other 3rd party tuition contracts, as assigned.
- May train, develop and supervise student and/or temporary staff, as assigned.
- Participates in the development and implementation of new strategies for improvement in the Student Financials office.
- Performs essential duties in an emergencies such as hurricanes, public health emergencies, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
