Drillers Assistant/Assistant Geologist (Part Time)

Nelson, Pope & Voorhis is seeking an individual to join our Phase I/II Assessments & Remediation Division for a part time position in our Melville, Long Island office that predominantly involves fieldwork. The position requires an individual that can lift up to 100 lbs., is willing to work outdoors throughout the year either on a drill rig or performing hand auger sampling and can, on occasion, start early in the morning. 

• Experience with drilling (direct push and hollow stem auger) is preferred, however, is not required.
• Soil classification experience, Phase I ESA, and degree or coursework in a related field (geology, earth sciences) would be ideal.
• This is a unique opportunity for a student in geology/earth science or related degree program, or a recent graduate.
