Middle/High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher – Clifton-Fine Central School District
The Clifton-Fine Central School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle/High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team and inspire students to develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Located on the western side of the Adirondacks and serving as the gateway to the Five Ponds Wilderness Area, Clifton-Fine Central School District is a small, tight-knit school committed to providing students with a high-quality education that fosters academic excellence and lifelong learning. With approximately 250 students, our district values an individualized approach to learning that encourages both academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Middle and High School English Language Arts courses, including literature, writing, grammar, and composition.
- Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lessons that foster a love for reading and writing.
- Integrate critical thinking, literary analysis, and writing techniques to prepare students for academic and career success.
- Possibly teach college-level courses, as applicable, in alignment with district offerings.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- New York State Certification in English Language Arts (Grades 7-12) or eligibility for certification.
- Experience or interest in teaching college-level courses is a plus.
