French Fluency-Entry Level Paralegal
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications.
- Gather relevant information for cases.
- Translate documents and interpret communications between attorneys and French-speaking clients.
- Maintain client files and ensure all documentation is organized and up to date.
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other parties as needed.
- Draft correspondence, legal documents, and forms under attorney supervision.
- Monitor and track case progress, ensuring timely completion of tasks and deadlines.
- Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
Job Requirements:
- Fluency in French (both written and spoken) is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous experience in a legal setting or immigration law is a plus but not required.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
