Summer Analyst
Based in San Francisco, GoodFinch is a clean energy fund that aims to deploy capital at meaningful scale to address climate change. Since our founding in 2020, our mission is to do good for the planet while doing well for our investors. We are growing extremely fast: to date, GoodFinch has raised over $1.5B across several funds and purchased over $3B of residential solar, sustainable home improvement and commercial solar loans and other clean energy assets. The key principals are ex-TPG, ex-Department of the Treasury, ex-SolarCity executives, and the founders of GoodLeap, the nation's largest residential solar financing company.
Summer analysts will benefit from small team dynamics, have unique exposure to residential and utility-scale solar, work closely with our industry leading management team, and participate in deals alongside the largest private funds in the world.
Specifically, we are looking for someone with strong quantitative and analytical abilities who is bright, motivated, and inspired to take on meaningful ownership and responsibility of:
- Financial modeling and data analysis in Excel to drive investment decisions
- Monitoring the performance of our holdings and the macroeconomic factors surrounding our asset class
- Communicating with bank relationships on purchase opportunities, transactions we participate in, and potential debt facilities
- Preparing and presenting Limited Partner updates
Ideal candidates will have:
- Expected graduation in May/June 2026
- Financial background
- Fluency in Excel and PowerPoint
- A love of learning
- A self-starter instinct
- Strong communication skills
