Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or a related field with an accredited school in the US.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

 

The Network Systems Co-Op program at Bell Labs covers technologies relating to 5G-Advanced/6G network systems, autonomous systems, and end-to-end network orchestration and automation.

As part of our team, you will work on research topics covering:

  • Intelligent end-to-end network slice management
  • Conflict detection and mitigation algorithm design/development
  • Next-generation Open RAN (O-RAN) conflict management
  • Practical applied AI/ML for network automation

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Excellent programming skills for prototyping
  • Prior research experience with network systems and/or ML theory
  • Strong written and spoken communication/presentation skills

It would be nice if you also had:

  • A strong publication record
  • Ability to identify upcoming research trends and directions with a focus on maximizing impact
