Development Assistant
Urbanity Dance seeks a part-time Development Assistant to join its passionate and collaborative administrative team. A successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening donor relationships, managing the internal database systems, and supporting fundraising efforts. The Development Assistant will aspire to achieve excellence in their administrative responsibilities while also going above and beyond to participate in Urbanity’s strong, open-minded community.
- Take the lead in maintaining donor databases: Salesforce for Nonprofits and Classy
- Track incoming donations and ensure timely, considerate acknowledgements
- Support Urbanity’s Director with donor outreach and communication
- Maintain efficient and organized donor management systems
- Assist in planning and executing successful fundraising events
- Contribute to fundraising campaigns
- Assist grant writer as needed with applications and reporting
- Jump into supporting tasks across departments while keeping a team player mindset
Schedule:
This is a part-time position, 30 hours/week. Work is primarily in-person with regular in-person commitments each week. Some hybrid work may be discussed with the position supervisor if necessary. Actively engaging in Urbanity’s community first hand is a priority.
Required Qualifications:
- Administrative experience
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Apps
- Excellent writing communication
- Excellent customer service and team skills
- Outgoing, proactive, and open-minded approach
- Detail-oriented and self-directed
- Open to working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years related work experience
- Experience with Salesforce
- Familiarity with Slack and Asana
- A background or interest in dance or the nonprofit arts
Salary:
$22/hour

- 20 hours paid vacation per year
- For each full year that an employee completes with Urbanity (from start date), the employee will receive an additional 5 hours paid vacation per year.
