What I liked
I got to spend the month of August hanging out with some really awesome kiddos. I was a counselor for sixth grade girls. They had a lot of energy, but brought their kindness and enthusiasm into every activity that we did at camp.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to come out for the whole summer. My schedule did not permit this, but that would have been fun.
Advice
Getting enough sleep every night was important. You have to bring a lot energy and patience when working with children. This is not possible unless you are well rested.
