Helpful and hands-on to teach interns as much about the company as possible while also helping interns perfect their selling skills; each intern is assigned to a team and has a director (mentor) who works with him/her one-on-one; interns are treated like full-time employees (i.e. invited to company outings, participating in all meetings, etc.); if you are taking classes while interning, Granite ensures that you have time to work on schoolwork while interning because school is your main priority to them.
What I wish was different
A little more structure - like training offered during the first few weeks of the internship to learn the company and its product/service offerings, learn how to sell Granite effectively, etc.
Advice
Granite is a great company that loves to work with interns and help them to gain real world experience. They want you to learn, work hard, and succeed while treating you like you are a part of the team.
