I really liked the company working environment. Everyone is like friends to each other, even though I was just an intern I had a lot stuff to learn, people are really patient.

What I liked

I really liked the team that I worked with and the firm as a whole. Everyone is very driven but they also support the team to the fullest extent and care about everyone at the firm.

What I wish was different

Honestly I had a great experience, I don’t think I would’ve changed anything.

Advice

It’s hard for people to decide between Tax and Audit when they don’t have any experience. I would say if you want to do Tax then you have to prepare for working with the same people in the same environment everyday. Everything is very consistent and straightforward, although it can be difficult. If you want Audit, prepare yourself for traveling and working with different people all the time.

I truly enjoyed every person I met at the company, from the recruiters to the partners. Everyone was so welcoming and they want you to succeed at the company and beyond.

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask questions! No question is a stupid question, everyone wants you to learn and wants to help! It's better to ask and understand than to not ask and then do the wrong thing.

I wish that my internship was in person rather than online (remote).

Absorb as much information as you can because every aspect of an internship is very important to identify what you do and don’t want from a job.

Sports Marketing Intern

What I liked

I loved working with the team, it is a small team of 12 people but they do so many different things. I loved learning all the different sides of what they do for various events, such as the WPGA championship, the Women's Leadership Summit, and the Future Leaders program. It was amazing to travel with the team to Olympia fields for 10 days!

What I wish was different

More hands on projects in a sense where I would be doing less administrative tasks and more work that was challenging.

Advice

You may do an internship and realize it is not what you want to do and that is okay! Sometimes knowing what you didn't or don't like is more helpful than knowing what you do, because it helps point you in other directions!

I loved the atmosphere of my workplace and the opportunities that were available at the company. I learned a lot and networked with a great amount of professionals.

I wish I had done my internship closer to home. I would have been able to save a lot more money.

Advice

Keep and open mind about any work that they give you. Sometimes people just want to see what you are willing to do and how far you are willin to do. Everyday is a test.
