I wish that the Navy had honored the contract I originally signed. Instead, after I graduated boot camp, they switcheroo’d me into signing a new contract (under the duress of being a lowly recruit getting barked at by instructors). That took 4 years of my life away that I will never get back, and being the giant faceless organization they are, it will never be made right.
Advice
The Navy does not have your interests at heart. They will take what they can from you and do everything in their power to deny you what you are contractually owed. Avoid at all costs.
