I learned what working on major events entails. The community of a business in midtown. Working on the marathon changed my life for the better.

What I liked

I got a lot of great technical experience at NYRR. I learned a lot about how website's are run on the back end, and just about how companies work in general. The company has a good atmosphere. The position was only 25 hours a week so it wasn't too much.

What I wish was different

I was the only intern in the IT department for a while, so although there were other interns, I had limited interaction with them. Also there were times when there wasn't work for me to do, so although it's good to have a bit of time to relax, it's also nice to stay busy. This wasn't a huge issue though.

The program was very empowering for women. It also allowed me to give back to a program I attended two years ago.

That the program started earlier.
