About St. Bernard Project (SBP)

Natural disasters are increasing in size and frequency, displacing 15+ million people annually. Hurricanes like Maria, Ian, and Helene disproportionately affect under-resourced communities, whose road to recovery often takes years to complete. SBP is dedicated to reducing the time between disaster and recovery, a process that includes helping homeowners and communities rebuild after a disaster.

Reviews

Volunteer

March 2022 - March 2022 Houston, TX
“I loved how we got to be involved in helping rebuild a blind woman whose home was affected by the hurricane. My group that went from my university actually took the build time down a week or so so she ended up being able to move in sooner than the projected time. ”

Volunteer Coordinator

August 2018 - December 2018 New Orleans, LA
“They are a great company who truly care for the community they serve. Even as a volunteer coordinator, we got to learn some much about construction and weather disasters. ”
