I liked that I had the chance to be out in a new place for the summer, and get to form new relationships & grow my skills more each week.
What I wish was different
How a personal situation was handled.
Advice
That if you work hard enough, then the experience will be worth it more, both in the moment but also in the long-run.

What I liked
The people are so very welcoming, it is a special place where they always say its a love romance little town. The history behind that special place is beyond compare. I like how they honor the history of people who first got to that little town and the whole foundation was donated by Harold Schafer.
What I wish was different
I love my experience there, that I cannot think of anything that would be different.
Advice
Learn to love what you do, no matter where in the world you will end up at.

What I liked
I love everything about Medora, In Medora they have three properties, and I had the chance to rotate around the lodging department, working with different managers and co-worker. What was more fun I also worked at the call center, the campground, also as a housekeeper etc. I totally had a fun time at Medora. However I did finish my intern on Aug 28, the tap would not let me input the date so I just put it as on going which I am not. And not only that there were 7 or 8 BYUH student that did an intern at Medora that is what makes it more fun.
What I wish was different
Well everything was good the only struggle was that corona kind of ruin everything, there were suppose to be alot of international workers but they can not make it cause of corona. I wish they could have make activity so that co- worker could get to know each other etc.
Advice
Piece of advice is if you are doing an internship some place that you never been there before, go with a friend I promise, doing an internship with a friend or someone that goes to the same school as you, it will be fun. Like me I was not alone I had 7 other BYUH student that were with me in Medora and that is what makes it fun.

What I liked
I liked the people! It was a lovely little town full of super kind people. The foundation was very established and treated their employees very well.
What I wish was different
I wish the individual businesses within the foundation had a little more control over their shop. I loved my managers, but even though they had been running the store for over 20 years, they had little control over how they ran their store.
Advice
Do something different during your summers! Get yourself out there, go somewhere you've never been before, and throw yourself into the people and the place. I loved Medora and am so glad I was brave enough to go somewhere totally new!

Campground Front Desk Representative
June - September 2019 • Medora, ND
What I liked
I love the atmosphere, my team mates, my supervisor, Medora.....there is so much to love. I lived at the campgound so I essentially spent my summer "at camp". We worked hard to help our guests have a great experience at the campground, helped them plan activities in and around Medora and solved problems as they came up.
What I wish was different
There are too many levels of bureaucracy. There isn't enough structure in the upper levels of management.
Advice
If you haven't gone to Medora to work or just to visit, you are missing out on a hidden gem in North Dakota.
